?Summer and wedding season is fast approaching. ?Are you or a special loved one getting married? ?If socanvas throw pillow covers, you still have time to create a special keepsake filled with memories of their special day.

I decorated the 8.5×;11 Canvas Portfolio (also available in 5×;7 and 12×;12) using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and High Impact Paints. ?I then add some burlap, DIY Wedding Paper, vintage lace and millinary to complete.

Then I layered?papers, file folders and envelopes. ?Next I folded the papers in half to create a guide to sew down. ? Holding the papers with paperclips, I then sewed down the crease to bind the pages together.

Then I combined DIY Wedding papers, burlap, fluted black and kraft paper, and vintage lace, buttons and old ledger paper.

?I love the creams, whites, blacks and kraft colors that make up this line.

?The guests can sign the pages, but they can also write personal messages and tuck into the bags and envelopes throughout this book. ?There are also pockets to put photos of your guests at the wedding that can be added after they are developed. ?If you have a photo booth at the wedding, this great book has spots for every one of those photos.

?Special photos could be added to make it truly a special keepsake?that will hold many wonderful memories. ?The various layers all are designed to be written upon, you might encourage a few guests where to write or show your guest book attendant all the great places there are to sign the book so you have special messages throughout the book for the bride &; groom.

Once you complete decorating the pages, then punch a hole through the top and bottom of the pages and of the canvas portfolio.

Then bind the book by running the waxed cotton cord through the pages and then the book spine.

?To secure it in place.

Wishing you a creative day.

Oven mitts are an example of a good idea with serious design flaws: shaped like a giant mitten, they are unwieldy and stiff, and don’t really allow for grasping hot things securely with one hand. But it never occurred to us to envision an alternative, other than ordinary pot holders. That is, until we got an email from Stephen Peters who wrote:

Stop worrying over what to get your Dad this year for Father’s Day and dive head first into this list. It’s filled with geeky items which are perfect for fans of sci-fi, superheroes or anything which falls under the umbrella of “geek”. If this sounds like something your Dad would love, his Father’s Day gifts are in here, waiting to be discovered.

Ever have a moment when you’ve found bedding, furniture, a rug, or an accessory so phenomenal, you can’t wait to build an entire room around it? We had that exact, shut-the-front-door epiphany as soon as we saw Annie’s new Lima decorative pillows. In two eye-popping colorways—neutral gray with tons of accent hues, or a tangerine version?with brights galore that practically shouts “Go bold or go home!”—this embroidered throw pillow is instant palette inspiration for all sorts of spaces.
